D-Backs Farm Report: Scherzer K's 11 Again

Christopher Reina/RealGM - Max Scherzer turned in yet another dominating performance on Thursday in a Triple-A start in Sacramento. Scherzer struck out 11, walked one and yielded two hits in five innings of work.

In his previous outing, Scherzer struck out 11 in seven innings.

For the season, he has struck out 29 while walking just three and has not given up an earned run in 17 innings.

The 6-3 righty can hit the mid to high-90's on the gun and may be an eventual closer candidate for the D-Backs. [READ]
