Is Nomo's Career Over?

MLB.com - Japan pitching legend Hideo Nomo was designated for assignment on Sunday, and his career may be over, according to an MLB.com report.

The move was prompted by the recall of Luke Hochevar to start for the Royals on Sunday against the A's.

Nomo was attempting to come back from elbow surgery and defied the odds by making the Royals' roster. But he has been ineffective and was hit hard in his last appearance. [READ]
