Could Thomas, Bonds Be On Oakland's Radar?

The San Francisco Chronicle - The Athletics are playing good baseball, and it seems possible that Billy Beane would entertain the idea of signing Barry Bonds or Frank Thomas, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

"I saw that he was released (Sunday) morning," assistant GM Dave Forst said. "We haven't even talked about it. We've got a couple DH options here now. Honestly, we haven't even had a discussion."

"We obviously enjoyed our time with Frank here (the '06 season), so sure, we'll have a discussion," he added.

Bonds, however, doesn't seem like as much of a possibility in Oakland.

"Barry who?" Forst said when asked about Bonds. [READ]
