Chipper Hopes Quad Won't Mean Missed Time

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - Chipper Jones is still hoping to play for the Braves on Monday night against the Nationals, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"I'm going to try to play," said Jones on Sunday. "But if I wake up sore and it's sore just standing around, how's it going to be playing?"

He strained his quadriceps last week in Colorado but claimed that the condition worsened in Washington. He left Atlanta's win over the Nats on Sunday afternoon in the fifth inning. [READ]
