Beckett Scratched From Start With Stiff Neck

MLB.com - Josh Beckett has been scratched from his scheduled start against the Angels on Tuesday night because of stiffness in his neck, according to MLB.com

In addition to the stiffness, the flu has been running rampant through the Red Sox clubhouse.

"His neck got real stiff," Manager Terry Francona said. "Whether it's related or not [to the flu], how do you know? We're not going to run him out there and have it potentially hurt his shoulder because he's got a stiff neck."

Francona still isn't sure whether he'll skip Beckett entirely this time around in the rotation or start him in just a few days. [READ]
