Yost: Prince's Diet Not The Reason For Slow Start

Journal Sentinel - Ned Yost does not believe Prince Fielder's struggles are related to becoming a vegetarian.

"Whatever he does is right for him," said Yost. "That's his business. It doesn't have anything to do with his performance.

"Everybody wants to make a big deal about a young man trying to eat healthy. It doesn't have anything to do with it. You can grease up all you want. It's not going to help you hit home runs.

"It's natural talent and ability. He's every bit as strong as he was before. There's nothing behind that. It's just talk.

"Prince Fielder can tell me anything and I'll sit back and pretty much trust him on it. Whatever he's doing is not only the best for himself but our team, too. He's that type of person." [READ]
