Thomas Receives Offer From Northern League

The Toronto Star - Frank Thomas has received his first contract offer since being released by the Blue Jays, according to the Toronto Star.

The Joliet Jackhammers of the independent Northern League have extended an offer. They are offering Thomas an apartment and as much as $3,500 a month.

"We need to get Frank back in Chicago where the fans love him," said Jackhammer GM Kelly Sufka.

The A's are reportedly going as Thomas as well, with Kansas City and Seattle also interested. [READ]
