Cubs Get 10,000th Win In 10th Inning

The Chicago Tribune - The Cubs won their 10,000th game as a Major League franchise on Wednesday night with a 10-inning victory against the Rockies, according to the Chicago Tribune.

They mounted a ninth-inning comeback against Colorado and won in the 10th on a two-out single by Ryan Theriot.

"That was an exciting game, well-played on both sides," Cubs' Manager Lou Piniella said. "Our kids battled. They came back in the ninth on the two-run homer, and then Theriot gets that big base hit there in the 10th. These kids are confident, I can tell you that, and they're getting after it every night."
