Thomas To Be 'Everday DH' For A's

The San Francisco Chronicle - Frank Thomas will reportedly be an everyday designated hitter as a member of the Oakland A's, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

"Yeah, he's the everyday DH," Geren said Thursday morning of Thomas. "And (Daric) Barton is going to get significant playing time. I'll get Mike (Sweeney) in there as much as I can. Having too many good players is never a problem."

In order to make room for Thomas on the team's roster, Eric Chavez was placed on the 60-day disabled list while he recovers from back issues. [READ]
