Reports Say Posada Will Return This Season

ESPN - Early reports claim that Jorge Posada will not miss the rest of the season for the Yankees, according to ESPN.com.

He was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career on Monday, with a complete diagnosis on his injured shoulder not expected to come out for a few days.

If Posada has just a strained shoulder, he will not need season-ending surgery.

"Jorge has been frustrated because it hasn't responded the way he had hoped," Manager Joe Girardi said. "I think players always think the worst, and managers think the best." [READ]
