Pinella: 'Kerry's Our Closer'

The Chicago Sun-Times - Cubs' closer Kerry Wood has blown three of his last four save chances, but Manager Lou Pinella still plans to stick with the former starter in the role, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

"I've got confidence in Kerry," Pinella said. "Look, these things are going to happen. You don't want to see them happen. You don't like when they happen. That was a tough loss for us, real tough loss."

Their most recent defeat came against the Brewers after holding a two-run lead in the ninth.

"Look, they happen. But Kerry's our closer, and that's the end of the story." [READ]
