| 6th May, 2008 - 10:44 am | The East Valley Tribune - Diamondbacks' pitcher Doug Davis threw a simulated game on Monday for the first time since undergoing surgery to remove his cancerous thyroid, according to the East Valley Tribune.
He was pleased with his command and velocity during the 65-pitch workout, which came just 25 days after the surgery took place.
"He looked real good, just as good as every other big leaguer we've been facing," said Jeff Salazar, one of several D-Backs who hit against Davis.
Davis expects to make a rehab start at Triple-A Tucson on Sunday and will probably add another before attempting to come off the disabled list and return to the Majors. [READ] |
