6th May, 2008 - 7:41 pm
SI.com - Barry Zito is returning to the Giants' rotation after he was sent to the bullpen and didn't make a single appearance in relief work.

"Barry Zito's going to start. He's a starter," Bochy said Tuesday. "We just gave him a break."

He last started on April 27th in a 10-1 loss to the Reds.

RealGM Note: Zito has a season FIC of five (0.76 per start, compared to Tim Lincecum 8.09 per start and 57 overall) and therefore has a Reina Value of -97%. He is making $14.5 million, but only 'deserves' $401k.

In 2007, Zito had a -35% Reina Value, 'deserving' $6.5 million and actually making $10 million. [READ]
