Dellucci Calls Joba's Antics 'Bush League'

The New York Daily News - Cleveland outfielder David Dellucci doesn't like the fist-pumping antics of Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain on the mound, according to The New York Daily News.

Dellucci smacked a pinch-hit, go-ahead home run against Chamberlain on Wednesday night, but Chamberlain got the best of Dellucci with a strikeout in a 1-2-3 inning on Thursday.

After Dellucci went long against Joba, the young reliever bent over on the mound in frustration. It was a different story on Thursday night as Chamberlain pumped his fist several times in celebration following the inning-ending strikeout of Dellucci.

"That's what gets him going and that's what everybody likes to see, but if a hitter was to do something like that they'd probably say it was 'bush (league)' and you shouldn't do it," Dellucci said. "It's kind of funny how a pitcher can get away with it."

"There were two outs and that was a big out," Chamberlain said. "I had let that (home run) go as soon as I left the ballpark (Tuesday night). I was ready to get back out there. It didn't matter who it was, I just wanted to get that out." [READ]
