Harden Struggles In Debut Off DL
12th May, 2008 - 7:09 am
Andrew Perna/RealGM - Rich Harden struggled against the Rangers on Sunday in his first start since his latest stint on the disabled list.

He lasted less than four innings, surrendering five earned runs on eight hits and four walks.

He struck out five batters but struggled with his command after it initially looked good in a pair of rehab starts last week.

He threw 90 pitches, with 59 recorded as strikes.

He did not figure into the decision against the Rangers because Sidney Ponson struggled as the opposing starter. He allowed six runs in a little over five innings of work.

Harden's next start will likely come this weekend against the Braves in Atlanta. [READ]
