Rays Take Over First Place In AL East

ESPN - The Tampa Rays took over first place in the AL East on Tuesday night with an extra-inning victory over the New York Yankees, according to The Associated Press.

The Rays won 2-1 in the eleventh inning when Gabe Gross singled Jonny Gomes home, and took over first place because of a Boston loss to Baltimore.

Tampa has won six straight games and eleven in a row at home, their best start in franchise history. [READ]
