MLB Owners Unanimously Ratify Drug Rules

ESPN - Baseball owners unanimously ratified tougher drug testing rules on Thursday, according to The Associated Press.

"A lot of it can be enacted right away," Commissioner Bud Selig said.

Players have until May 23 to ratify the drug agreement, which will increase the number of tests and give the authority of the program to an independent administrator.

"We're working very hard," Selig said. "We're watching what happens in the Olympics. We're always concerned. And as I said yesterday, nobody wants a test more than I do." [READ]
