Mets' Wagner Calls Out Team For Ducking Media

ESPN - Mets closer Billy Wagner has called out his teammates for ducking the media after losses, according to ESPN.com.

He ripped his teammates earlier this season as well, but complained again because his compadres dodged the media following a 1-0 loss to the Nationals.

"You should be talking to the guys over there," he snapped to reporters after the loss, in which he didn't even pitch.

He gestured towards the lockers of Carlos Beltran, Luis Castillo and Carlos Delgado.

"Oh, they're not there. Big shock," he said.

"I didn't even play today, I was not a participant in the game and the guys that had participated were gone," Wagner said in an interview with ESPN Radio's Michael Kay.

"David Wright is always there, the same guys are always there. But there needs to be other guys that are accountable. It gets a little old when the same people keep getting interviewed even when they don't participate." [READ]
