Magowan Criticizes Mitchell Report

Oakland Tribune - Peter Magowan blasted Sen. George Mitchell's investigation on performance-enhancing drug use in baseball, saying the report did not contain his version of events as it concerned Barry Bonds and personal trainer Greg Anderson — a version he cannot publicly discuss because Bonds is under indictment on perjury charges.

"When the facts are wrong especially when I feel I don't have a way to defend myself because of certain reasons, and they're still out there and increase over time, that I do think is unfair, and it does bother me," Magowan said.

"I thought I had one legitimate chance to tell it to one fair man, and I did tell it, and it didn't show up," he continued. "I feel, I don't know, a little frustrated, maybe even a little sad about that. But that is not why I'm leaving." [READ]
