| 18th May, 2008 - 12:19 pm | ESPN - The United States Government may subpoena as many as 104 Major League players in connection with the BALCO steroid distribution case after attorneys obtained positive drug test results from 2003, according to a report on ESPN.com.
The test results, according to another report in The New York Times, were part of the 2003 examinations that MLB intended to keep anonymous.
After some serious legal maneuvering, the government verified records despite the initial condition of anonymity.
The government could question all 104 players linked in the investigation. [READ] |
