Oswalt's Status Uncertain With Hip Injury
18th May, 2008 - 6:01 pm
ESPN - Houston starting pitcher Roy Oswalt's status is uncertain after he injured his right hip against the Rangers on Saturday night, according to The Associated Press.

There is controversy surrounding the injury as Oswalt claims he told his coaches that he wasn't sure he could continue to pitch into the seventh inning but was sent out anyway.

"It's a misunderstanding," Manager Cecil Cooper said. "We just want to make sure we're all on the right page."

When asked if everything was fine with the decision to pitch the seventh, Oswalt responde, "Yeah."

"In two or three days I'll throw a little bit and see how it feels," Oswalt said. "I don't know [about the next start]. All I know is today I can't pitch."

His next scheduled start would be Thursday against the Phillies, and he is 4-4 with a 5.43 ERA in 10 starts in 2008. [READ]
