Wang: Calf Not A Problem

The New York Post - Yankees' starter Chien-Ming Wang claims that his injured right calf is not an issue despite an uncharacteristic lack of control against the Mariners on Sunday, according to The New York Post.

He walked a season-high four batters, allowing five earned runs in 6.1 innings of work.

"The ball was all over the place; I had no control," Wang said.

Manager Joe Girardi pushed Wang back one day after he strained his right calf in his previous mound appearance.

"He's not used to going on that extra rest," Girardi said. "He had a couple of walks that hurt us, but he kept us in the game." [READ]
