Posada Catches In Spring Game
27th May, 2008 - 9:44 am
ESPN - Yankees' catcher Jorge Posada caught during an extended spring training game on Monday, according to The Associated Press.

He caught for five innings and went 0-for-5 from the plate with a walk during his first action since going on the disabled list in late April.

"I got a lot of innings behind the plat; that's all I wanted," Posada said. "I wanted just to get ready to catch again."

He hopes to re-join the Yankees in the Majors by the beginning of June.

"Probably Thursday or so I'll start throwing again," Posada added. "I feel good enough to throw right now, but I'm taking one step at a time. First of all, get my legs underneath me and then get ready to catch, throw, and doing all that." [READ]
