Webb Losses Second-Straight Monday
27th May, 2008 - 9:50 am
ESPN - Brandon Webb lost his second-straight game on Monday against the Braves, according to The Associated Press.

Webb began the season 9-0, including a pair of complete games against the same Atlanta team that roughed him up on Monday.

He gave up a season-high 10 hits, the most he's surrendered since 2006.

"I just wasn't sharp," Webb said. "I started off and everything they hit seemed to find holes. I wasn't working ahead and didn't have a real good fastball. My velocity was down. I got a lot of strikeouts, but it didn't seem like I could ever make the big pitch when it counted."

He lost his previous appearance to the Marlins. [READ]
