Blanton Will Start For Phils Against Mets

ESPN - Joe Blanton will make his first start as a member of the Phillies on Tuesday against the Mets, according to The Associated Press.

The team moved Adam Eaton to the bullpen in order to make room for Blanton in the rotation. Eaton is 3-8 this season with a 5.71 ERA in 19 starts.

"When I look at our rotation, we needed some different looks," manager Charlie Manuel said Friday. "We needed to try to get better. It doesn't hurt to try to get a little creative at times." [READ]
