Mets Push Pedro Back

ESPN - Pedro Martinez received a cortisone shot to help heal his strained groin on Thursday and his next start has been pushed back a few days, according to The Associated Press.

Players are typically told to rest for a few days after receiving a cortisone shot. The 36-year-old righty strained his groin muscle while running the bases on July 7.

He was supposed to start on Sunday against the Reds. [READ]
