| 5th August, 2008 - 11:01 am | The Contra Costa Times - Oakland third baseman Eric Chavez will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder next week, according to The Contra Costa Times.
Chavez has a torn labrum in the shoulder and has expressed doubt that it can ever be completely repaired.
