Webb Wins Major League-Leading 18th

ESPN - Brandon Webb won his eighteenth game of the season on Friday night in Arizona's 12-2 win over Houston, according to The Associated Press.

Webb allowed only four hits, retiring sixteen Astros on groundouts and winning his seventh-straight decision.

"I don't know if it was my best," Webb said, "but it was pretty good."

Webb pitched eight innings, allowing two runs while striking out six. He is now 18-4 with a 2.85 ERA and 145 strikeouts in 2008. [READ]
