M's Riggleman: 'I Haven't Seen Anyone Quit'

The News-Tribune - Mariners' Manager John Riggleman claims that he hasn't seen anyone on the team quit despite their dismal record, according to The News-Tribune.

"We talked about a , and staying positive," the manager said. "There’s a slight danger, after playing so many first-place teams the last few weeks, that we might have a bit of a letdown going into the Oakland series."

"We shouldn’t – they’re ahead of us and a long way ahead of us. They’ve handled us pretty well.

"You’ve got to remember that we’ve got guys fighting for jobs, fighting for careers, fighting to establish themselves as major league players," Riggleman added. "I haven’t seen anyone on this team quit. Giving up is unacceptable." [READ]
