Beckett Has Elbow Inflammation, Won't Battle Yanks

The Boston Globe - Red Sox starter Josh Beckett has elbow inflammation and will not face the rival Yankees this week, according to The Boston Globe.

He has been pushed back once again, and it now appears as though he'll face the White Sox on Friday rather than the Yankees this Tuesday as scheduled.

Manager Terry Francona said that the Sox are taking the "overly-cautious" approach with Beckett as they head into the home stretch. [READ]
