Steinbrenner Wants Cashman Back

ESPN - In an effort to retain his general manager, owner George Steinbrenner called Brian Cashman to tell the GM that he wants him to return, the New York Post reported.

People in the organization feel that Steinbrenner's one-on-one approach is a step in the positive direction.

While hearing the pledge from Steinbrenner likely carries more weight, Cashman might still want some guarantees that his authority would not be compromised. [READ]
