Beckett's Elbow OK: Will Return Sept. 5

Boston Herald - Josh Beckett's elbow has been diagnosed as "fine" and the pitcher is expected to start next week for the Red Sox once he's eligible to come off the disabled list, according to Boston Herald.

Beckett has been feeling a tingling sensation in his right arm for a good portion of the season, and has been scratched from three starts since his last one Aug. 17.

"It was a big relief," said Beckett, who flew to see Dr. James Andrews on Friday. "We’re cleared off because everybody’s scared at some point in time, whether it be me or the organization.

"It’s something I needed to do just to clear my mind and to make sure that this wasn’t anything more serious than we thought it was." [READ]
