Carpenter Joins Cardinals' Bullpen

St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Pitcher Chris Carpenter has shifted into the bullpen of the Cardinals as he approaches his return to the mound, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Carpenter could be activated Monday in Arizona and is available to throw Tuesday in his new role with the team.

Carpenter is returning from a slightly torn shoulder muscle that forced him from his third start back from elbow surgery. [READ]
