| 2nd September, 2008 - 5:04 pm | New York Daily News - Yankees' second baseman Robinson Cano fired back at critics on Monday night who have been ripping him apart for a string of errors, according to New York Daily News.
The criticism started with a big error on Saturday, continued when he left the clubhouse before talking to reporters that same day, and was added to when he committed yet another miscue on Monday.
"People think I just left because I didn't want to talk to the media; that wasn't it at all," Cano said. "I would rather talk to (reporters) when I make an error than when I'm swinging good. Why wouldn't I want to talk to (the media)? I'm there every day."
"I don't want to make errors; I want to be perfect. But things happen in the game," Cano added. "People say that I'm not focused, but this stuff happens in games. I'm not going to be the first guy or last guy it happens to." [READ] |
