| 3rd September, 2008 - 10:46 am | Chicago Sun-Times - Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano complained of soreness in his right arm when he left his start early Wednesday night, according to Chicago Sun-Times.
Zambrano left Chicago's loss to Houston after throwing 86 pitches in five innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and three walks in his first start in seven days.
"Anybody think this was going to be real easy? You didn't hear that from me all year," manager Lou Piniella said. "We're in a stretch now where things aren't going our way, and we've just got to keep battling and keep our confidence up and that's it."
The Cubs have lost four straight, and Zambrano is expected to see the team's doctor on Wednesday. [READ] |
