Reports: Kinsler Done For Season
5th September, 2008 - 10:05 am
ESPN - Rangers' second baseman Ian Kinsler will reportedly miss the rest of the season after opting to undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia, according to ESPN.com.

Kinsler has been on the disabled list since Aug. 18, and has been trying to return to action without undergoing surgery.

"The doctor said the progress I was making just wasn't significant enough and if you don't have surgery for this, it's something you are always going to be dealing with," Kinsler said. "It's the only option."

Kinsler was hitting .319 with 18 home runs and 71 RBIs for Texas this season. [READ]
