Rocky Mountain News - Perhaps the Yankees need democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama in the oval office to reverse their recent fortunes, according to Rocky Mountain News.

The Yankees have won eight World Series titles during Democratic administrations in the past fifty years but haven't won a title with a Republican in office since 1958 (Dwight D. Eisenhower).

Meanwhile, the Red Sox haven't won a World Series with a Democrat in office since 1918. [READ]
