Jays Shut Down Rays, Complete Sweep

ESPN - The Blue Jays defeated the Rays 1-0 on Sunday thanks to a tremendous pitching performance by David Purcey to complete a three-game sweep, according to Associated Press.

Toronto has won eight-straight games and have leapfrogged the Yankees for third place in the competitive AL East.

The Rays, meanwhile, now have just a 1 1/2 game lead over the Red Sox in the division. [READ]
