Manny Powers Dodgers To Wider Lead

ESPN - Manny Ramirez hit two home runs on Wednesday to help the Dodgers beat the Padres, 7-2, giving Los Angeles a 3 1/2 game lead over Arizona in the NL West race, according to Associated Press.

The lead is the team's largest of the season.

"When he hits the ball in the air, it doesn't come down," Dodgers' Manager Joe Torre said of Ramirez, whom he managed against multiple times in New York.

Los Angeles has won ten of their last eleven games. [READ]
