| 12th September, 2008 - 1:34 pm | SI.com - Several baseball people have told Sports Illustrated that the Los Angeles Angels have their eye on signing CC Sabathia this winter.
"We believe in pitching and defense," GM Tony Reagins said after declining to specifically address the Sabathia question. "It's going to be an interesting winter."
The Angels have two big free agents of their own, Mark Teixiera and Francisco Rodriguez.
