Report: Bernie To Return For Stadium Finale
12th September, 2008 - 4:40 pm
MLB.com - Legendary New York outfielder Bernie Williams will return to Yankee Stadium to be a part of the festivities before the team's Sept. 21 home finale, according to MLB.com.

Williams told the New York Post that he plans to be in the Bronx when the Yankees and Orioles will play the final regular season game in the Stadium's rich history.

He hasn't been to the ballpark since the end of 2006, when his career ended.

"It will bring me back to my first time in 1991, when I played my first game," Williams told the Post in Friday's editions. "It will be amazing. The fans are going to be great. I'm obviously very sad to see the Stadium go -- you have a lot of great memories -- but you move on." [READ]
