Tigers To Deal Ordoņez?

Detroit Free Press - The Tigers could opt to trade outfielder Magglio Ordoņez after the team's disappointing season, according to the Detroit Free Press.

"We have a losing record, with the players we have," Ordoņez admitted last week. "There's going to be changes."

Magglio is one of Detroit's most popular players, a postseason hero and the defending American League batting champion, but he's also owed $18 million next season.

"This game is a business," Ordoņez said. "They trade players. They play for four or five years and then (teams) trade them. You don't see those franchise players that spend their career for only one team.

"I want to play hard, help this team win, and hopefully finish my career here." [READ]
