The victory, coinciding with New York's loss to Atlanta, also leaves Philadelphia just one game behind in the NL East race.
Brett Myers pitched a complete game for the Phillies, allowing just one run on two hits against the Brewers.
Jeff Suppan lasted just 3 2/3 innings after allowing six runs. Prince Fielder hit a solo home run off Myers in the seventh inning to break up the shutout.
Jimmy Rollins went 2-for-2 on the night, driving in two runs with a single in the second inning. [READ] |
