Another Mets Collapse?

Andrew Perna/RealGM - The New York Mets lost to the last-place Washington Nationals on Monday night as their lead in the NL East dwindles.

The Mets have lost two-straight, and five of their last ten games. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Phillies have posted four-consecutive victories to inch closer in the division.

On Sept. 4, New York had a three-game lead over Philadelphia, but after Monday night's action their advantage is just one-half of a game.

The Mets have three games left in their series against the Nationals, while the Phillies will play three against the Braves starting Tuesday. [READ]
