Chicago's Quentin Has Soft Cast Removed

ESPN - White Sox outfielder Carlos Quentin had the soft cast removed from his broken right wrist on Wednesday, according to Associated Press.

The club said the broken bones have lined up but it's still not fully healed. He has been out since Sept. 2 with the injury.

He is expected to meet up with the team in Kansas City on Friday, but he'd have to starting swinging a bat before re-joining the lineup.

"I don't want to rush this kid," Manager Ozzie Guillen said. "We have to take the time easy and don't rush him. He will make the call when he can come back." [READ]
