Brewers Uncertain Of Sheets' Status

ESPN - The Brewers are uncertain as to whether or not Ben Sheets will be able to pitch through a sore elbow and make his final two starts of the season, according to Associated Press.

"Don't know yet," assistant GM Gord Ash said Thursday. "He'll get his treatment. We just have to literally play it day by day to see when he might be available."

Sheets left his start on Wednesday with elbow pain, which he admitted had been on issue since August.

"It's not serious to the point where it's career-jeopardizing," Ash said. "There are no structural issues. He's got pain. Sometimes he can pitch with it, sometimes he can't. Last night was one of those that he couldn't." [READ]
