Astros T-Shirts: We Survived Ike, Bud Killed Us

Houston Chronicle - Several players and even one coach of the Houston Astros wore custom-made black t-shirts that knocked how Bud Selig handled the situation where home games against the Cubs were moved to Milwaukee.

“We survived Ike,” the back of the shirt read in red lettering atop a drawing of the radar impression of the eye of the storm.

On the front, it read, “Bud killed us,” over a red drawing of the commissioner’s bust.

LaTroy Hawkins ordered and paid for the initial batch of 50 shirts, which were hanging in the locker of every player, coach, and even Manager Cecil Cooper when they arrived at Dolphin Stadium for the series finale against the Florida Marlins.
