Halladay Wins 19th, Stops Sox From Clinching

ESPN - Blue Jays' pitcher Roy Halladay won his 19th game of the season on Saturday against the Red Sox, keeping Boston from clinching a playoff berth, according to Associated Press.

The Blue Jays now trail the Red Sox by 7 1/2 games for the AL Wild Card. Toronto has seven games remaining while Boston has eight left on their schedule.

"We're still trying to catch Tampa," Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury said. "It would have been nice to have won today, but we know we've still got [eight] more." [READ]
