Phillies Re-Take First Place In NL East

Andrew Perna/RealGM - The Phillies overtook the Mets for first place in the NL East after beating the Marlins, 3-2, on Saturday night.

Philadelphia was able to leapfrog New York in the standings because the Mets lost to the Braves, 4-2, earlier Saturday afternoon.

The Phillies have a half-game lead over the Mets while both teams have a substantial edge over the struggling Brewers for the NL Wild Card.

Philadelphia has a three-game lead over Milwaukee in the Wild Card race while New York has a 2 1/2 game edge.

The Brewers have lost three-straight games. [READ]
