Pettitte Records 2,000th Career Strikeout

Andrew Perna/RealGM - Andy Pettitte recorded the 2,000th strikeout of his Major League career on Sunday night against the Orioles.

Pettitte struck out Baltimore catcher Ramon Hernandez in the top of the second inning to reach the mark.

Sunday night marked the final game ever at Yankee Stadium, and Yankee Manager Joe Girardi choose the left-hander to start the historic game. [READ]
